A very beautifully constructed fretless bass from Pete Skjold that features not only a well chosen combination of woods but also great playability, sound and tonal variations from the John East pre-amp. In case you are not familiar with Pete and his line of basses, this is the higher echelon of his group of instruments which also feature the Exotic Custom, Pro and Stage Series lines. This bass has a well focused low B string and a nice growl all the way around. The upper frets are easily accessed and the small body design makes for a nice comfortable feel both sitting and standing. Pete continues to craft high quality basses that remain within the realm of affordability for the working bassist. He also strives for constant improvement in his instruments and is readily willing to listen and to evaluate constructive suggestions from other players. No doubt that Pete will remain as a solid member of the bass building community for a long time to come.

This instrument is documented in the BunnyBass Musical Instrument Archive.
