Comments:

We here at BunnyBass are always excited and proud to feature instruments from new builders on our site. This bass is constructed by Terryville, Connecticut luthier Jon Maghini. Jon told us that he began his career about eight years ago doing repairs and a bit of building while working for another shop. After a four year stint there, he decided to try it on his own and M Basses was launched about four years ago. Jon has worked hard and learned his craft very well. This is a really well constructed four string fretless bass that would be a valuable asset in any discerning bassist's collection. Super light at seven pounds, this bass offers up a singing tone with excellent sustain and a very smooth neck/fret board combination. The Aguilar pre-amp works very well with the Bartolinis and allows the player a very good range of variation in sound from deep bass to nice bright treble. We hope to be seeing quite a lot of Jon's instruments on the BB site in the future and feel we are off to a great start with this Signature Series four string fretless.

This instrument is documented in the Bunny Bass Musical Instrument Archive.
