Comments:

An early BC Rich bass in the rarer shorthorn version. The bass offers an interesting array of tones from the various phase and coil tapping switches as well as the six way varitone control. This particular instrument had been played a great deal and appeared to have taken quite a few knocks and bangs in the process. The great Mockingbird sound was still intact and so was the excellent playability. We decided that a cosmetic facelift for this classic bass would be in good order, so we enlisted the help of expert finisher and luthier Pat Wilkins. What a wonderful difference his work achieved. Since we now had a beautifully restored instrument, a new case was in order from Cedar Creek Custom Cases. The metamorphosis is now complete and the Bird is ready to find a new home. BC Rich basses have established themselves as a true collectors and players instrument for many years now and this is a real opportunity for a BC Rich lover to capture a true seventies treasure.

This instrument is documented in the BunnyBass Musical Instrument Archive.
